Aluma Photo-Plate Co. has been trusted by military and government organizations for their photosensitive anodized aluminum nameplates and label needs. Is it very important for military equipment to be easily identifiable and to be able to withstand harsh environmental conditions. 

Nameplates and labels on machinery should be durable, flexible when needed and designed boldly and clearly. Our durability comes from its image, which is sealed inside of the andoized aluminum, providing resistance to corrosion, sunlight, chemical exposure and high temperatures.     Military and Government Specifications: 


  • MIL-STD-130N - This standard provides the item marking criteria for development of specific marking requirements and methods for identifications of items of military property produced, stocked, stored, and issued by or for the Department of Defense. This standard addresses criteria and data content for both free text and machine-readable information (MRI) applications of item identification marking.
  • GG-P-455B - This specification covers the requirement for phoyosensitive anodized aluminmum sheets and foils. For purposes of this specification, foils as referred to in the specification is defined as material 0.010 inch and thinner.
  • MIL-A8625F - This specification covers the requirement for six types and two classes of eletroytically formed anodic coatings on aluminum and aluminum alloys for non-architectural applications.
  • MIL-DTL-15024F - This performance specification covers the physical characteristics of plates, tags and bands (identification devices) used for identification of equipment.
  • MIL-P-514D - This specification covers identification plates, instruction plates, and marking plates for attachment to U.S. Military property.
  • CSA - CSA Group is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), an organization that coordinates the standards strategy for the U.S.
  • ETL - The Edison Testing Laboratories Listed Mark is proof of product compliance (electrial, gas and other safety standards) to North America safety standards.
  • CE - The European Commission describes the CE certification mark as a "passport" that allows manufacturers to circulate industrial products freely within the internal market of the EU.
